Merry Christmas to all of you!!! Here a picture of our little Christmas dinner party!

Father Christmas and Weihnachtsmann have been very generous this year! Sarah had lots of presents to unwrap. Weihnachtsmann brought some on Christmas Eve and Father Christmas left some more for her for Christmas Day. Sarah had some vegetables from our Christmas dinner and we pulled crackers. Here's one of the typical jokes from one of the crackers...

- Knock knock
> Who's there?
- Mary.
> Mary who?
- Mary Christmas!

SNOW!!! We went for a very nice long walk with Sarah in the snow and sun!

We decorated the Christmas tree! It's difficult to keep Sarah away from it - especially from all the presents underneath it... Sarah's grandma came over to see us and to bring all these presents!
Sarah has been ill for the last week with a bad cold and fever and she infected us, too, but now she is finally getting better.
I've finally received the official documents from Berlin that my (and Sarah's) last name has been changed into Nick's last name also according to German law. So far, according to German law, Sarah and I still had my maiden name, according to Dutch law I could use Nick's name and Sarah's last name was officially Nick's last name and according to British law at least Sarah had Nick's last name. All very confusing, but now we only have one family name no matter which country you ask!

We've spent about a week in Germany at Sarah's Oma and Opa. On Saturday Nick and I went to Berlin for some sightseeing, while my parents were busy looking after Sarah. The pictures below show the Brandenburger gate, the Reichstag building and the view from the copula of the Reichstag building on the 'Plenarsaal' of the parliament.
On Sunday we had lunch with my family, i.e. parents, brother, cousins, aunts, uncles, second cousins... Sarah enjoyed being the centre of attention and getting lots of presents.

Sarah is finally growing her first tooth! She is also sort of crawling now, although she hasn't really worked out how to lift her belly off the ground... But she is quite fast on smooth floors!

We made it! We are married!!! And we managed not to disgrace ourselves completely with the vows, the speech or the opening dance! And Sarah has been fantastic, too. Partying until 1.00 am with us! And a BIG THANK YOU to all of our friends, families and colleagues who celebrated this special day with us!! We will try to publish some pictures soon.

We are ready! We've got the rings, the clothes are fitted, I baked 8 cakes, we finally found a photographer, Sarah is bathed and we are off to the pub to meet our friends! Getting nervous now...
